Agent Shipped

About Agent Shipped

Agent Shipped is the field guide for people who ship with Claude Code and coding agents. Twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday, you get a short issue with three things: what changed in the agents you use and what to do about it, one workflow I actually tested, and a skill, subagent, hook or CLAUDE.md you can copy into your repo the same day.

Who it's for

Developers, technical founders, indie hackers and technical operators who use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar tools most days. Some of you write code full time. Some of you are strong tool users who ship real software without a CS degree. Everyone here is busy and has seen enough demo videos.

What you won't get

No hype, no "this changes everything," no screenshots of a toy app built in five minutes. If a feature is half-baked, I'll say so. If a workflow only works on a greenfield repo, I'll say that too. When I recommend a setting, command or prompt, it's because I've run it.

Who writes it

I'm Paul. I've been a hands-on user of Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT for a long time, and I use coding agents for real work every day. Agent Shipped is the newsletter I wanted when I was piecing together CLAUDE.md files, hooks and subagent setups from scattered docs, changelogs and forum threads.

How it's made

I read the changelogs, docs and discussions so you don't have to, test what looks useful, and write up what holds up. I use AI tools to help research and draft, the same way you use them to help write code. Guides link to the official docs they rely on and show the date they were last updated, because these tools change weekly.

The guides

Alongside the newsletter, the guides cover the evergreen questions in depth: how to write a CLAUDE.md file, subagents, hooks, skills, best practices and an honest Claude Code vs Codex vs Cursor comparison.

Get in touch

Reply to any issue. It comes straight to me, and I read everything. Tips, corrections and "this broke for me" reports are the most useful things you can send.

Agent Shipped is independent. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor or any other tool it covers.
